I am a PhD candidate and research fellow at the Australian Centre for Behavioural Research in Diabetes, a partnership for better health between Diabetes Victoria and Deakin University. I have a passion for translational research that makes a difference, with strong focus on program and resource development using evidence-based approaches. My research interests include lived experiences and psychological impacts of diabetes, barriers and enablers to providing and accessing psychological and person-centred care, and upskilling health professionals in providing psychological and person-centred care. I am the Project Manager for the TTRA-funded Hypo PAST (Hypoglycaemia Prevention, Awareness of Symptoms, and Treatment) project. HypoPAST is a fully online, self-guided, psycho-educational program, which aims to reduce fear of hypoglycaemia through improved prevention and management of hypoglycaemia. I am also a co-author of the NDSS Diabetes and Emotional Health practical guide. I have a strong interest in access and equity for underserved communities. I have a Bachelor of Health Science with first class Honours awarded by Deakin University.
