As Supply Chain Controller I am responsible for Purchasing & Stock management to meet production & customer requirements.• Maintenance of manual MRP system, collating & analysing data on component requirements & existing stock held onsite & with suppliers. This requires ensuring the components arrive in a timely manner to avoid delays to production & final customer. Deadlines can be tight if the customer requires a short lead time.• Supplier performance analysis, collating data on supplier delivery performance & quality issues reported to quality department & reporting to suppliers & the central Purchasing department any issues requiring action. This includes arranging meetings with suppliers to discuss the performance data. These meetings can result in the supplier being removed from use if performance isn’t improved.• Obtaining quotations & cost reductions, discussing requirements from Engineering department & sending technical information to suppliers for quotation. When quotations are received I compare them against the original requirements & either query discrepancies or approve for order. I have run a number of cost saving projects, with my first resulting in an annual saving of £5,000.• Purchase order generation, this requires taking the details from quotations or existing agreements & generating orders with suppliers. The order must then be acknowledged by the supplier & tracked through to delivery.• New Starter Training, instructing new starters to the team on systems & department processes. I have created & developed a Training manual & work through each system with the new started until they are comfortable to continue unsupervised.• General Administration, data entry, filing, responding to email/phone communications. Attention to detail is essential due to the complexity & financial nature of some of the information.

As an Engineering Administrator I was responsible for allocating stock to meet production & customer requirements.• Creation & Maintenance of manual MRP system, no system was in place to collate & analyse data on component requirements & existing stock held onsite & with suppliers. I created the system to assist in ensuring the components arrive in a timely manner to avoid delays to production & final customer. Deadlines could be tight if the customer required a short lead time.• Creation & Maintenance of Supplier performance monitoring, no system was in place to collate data on supplier delivery performance. I created the system to assist in improving the supply to production & final customer.• Obtaining quotations & Purchase order generation, this required requesting quotations & transferring the details onto orders with suppliers. The order then needing tracking through to delivery.• General Administration, data entry, filing, responding to email/phone communications. Attention to detail was essential due to the complexity & financial nature of some of the information.
