Law is my area of professional expertise; art is my personal passion. Bridging the gap between them is my career focus and I am poised to make an exciting shift into the art, museum and gallery space where I can contribute to institutional success in support of the promotion of the visual arts.As an attorney, I am trained to analyze complex issues, conduct thorough research, think strategically and communicate effectively. Most importantly, I am trained to solve problems, even the most complex ones.For example, I played a pivotal role in the drafting and negotiation of bilateral Air Services Agreements between the Government of Trinidad and Tobago and the United Kingdom, Nigeria, Panama and Brazil. These agreements served as the catalyst for the signing of bilateral treaties that regulated scheduled air services, fostering international cooperation and connectivity.As interim legal advisor to the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) during CARICOM Legal Affairs Committee meetings and Ministerial Council meetings, I reported directly to the ACS Secretary General, providing legal counsel and drafting documents in English, French and Spanish to facilitate effective decision-making processes within a multilingual and multicultural environment.My experience solving problems in complex international environments is equally valuable in spaces where fellow art enthusiasts are dedicated to ensuring seamless operation of art-related spaces and cultural institutions.Evidencing my passion for the visual I frequent galleries and museums locally and have travelled internationally to art fairs and installations around the world. These include The Armory Art Fair, New York; 1-54 Contemporary Fair, Marrakeck, Morocco and New York City; the Venice Biennale, Venice, Italy; Are de Triomphe, Wrapped, Paris, France; and the London Mastaba, London, England.These experiences have enriched my understanding of the art world and have fueled my desire to become more engaged in the art, gallery and museum space.If you are as enthusiastic about the visual arts as I am, please reach out to connect with me.
