The Technology Facilitator is responsible for assigned aspects of information technology at multiple locations. Primary responsibilities include end-user support; marketing utilizing online technical tools, installation, configuration, and maintenance of technology systems. The position requires a solid knowledge of computer systems plus the ability to work independently and with a diverse group of staff. Support end users of the agency’s information services by providingtroubleshooting and training as needed. Includes orienting new users tonetwork, e-mail, telephone systems and other software and protocols asneeded.Install, configure, and support hardware and software for laptop/desktopcomputers, copiers, printers, etc.Ensure that adequate backup and security systems are implemented ateach location, including provision of anti-virus software. Help identify local information services needs and potential solutions.Ensure compliance with agency policies and standards related totechnology.Maintain, and test disaster recovery plans for technology equipment andessential records at each location.Assist agency staff in the implementation of software solutions, includingthe preparation of reports.Be aware of new developments in information systems technology anddiscuss anticipated organizational modifications with executive level staffAssist in ensuring confidentially and reliability of STARC data, proprietaryinformation, and intellectual property.Assist in analyzing usage patterns and establish schedules andprocedures for maximum utilization of systems.program/services/businesses websites, and social media sites Assist in evaluating technology operating practices to determine if controlsand security measures are adequate.Install new and maintain existing hardware and software.Assist in administering and conducting microcomputer training inspecialized software applications.
