• Managed all purchasing related aspects of planning and execution of safety recalls and field actions, in compliance with the TREAD Act. • Worked closely with the Vehicle Safety & Regulatory Compliance Office, Legal Counsel, and NHTSA to establish and maintain robust safety processes and proactively engage Suppliers in the investigation stage. • Integrated with the Purchasing organizations to identify Lead Buyers for key components, assess Mopar stock quantities/Dealer inventories, obtain rates of supply for campaign parts, identify/resolve capacity issues, drive timely Supplier kick-off, and monitor Supplier performance throughout the process. • Perform on site Supplier visits to validate part capacity, resolve bottlenecks, and assess Safety Compliance processes.• Tracked all investigations and campaigns, and provide regular updates to Executive Levels and NHTSA Monitors on Supplier performance and campaign status. • Led a cross-functional team (Engineering, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Mopar, Manufacturing, and Quality) for Campaign Risk Assessment for managing Safety Shielded components and provide remedy for all Consent Order recommendations. • Led the Supplier Advisory Committee to obtain feedback on upfront identification and management of Safety Critical parts.

• Managed and led the procurement process for Ram Heavy Duty and Chassis Cab. • Ensured the purchasing voice was heard throughout the various milestones of the development life cycle and presented status to Executive levels on a quarterly basis. • Led and collaborated on pre-sourcing activities, quality issues, capacity constraints, and resourcing/offloading initiatives. Acted as a liaison between the Engineering, Purchasing, Supplier Quality and Purchasing teams to ensure quality parts were delivered on time, to engineering specification and at the lowest negotiated price. • Worked with our Supply Chain Management team to increase Truck capacity to meet our 4 year sales goals.

• Scouted available commercial properties and specified requirements for a prep facility for a 15 bay service center with Shipping/Receiving, testing and vehicle storage for the Media Vehicle Mechanics and Engineering teams. • Negotiated contracts between FCA, the city of Auburn Hills, and Barton Malow for permits, fire code standards, equipment purchase and construction activities. • Led cross functional teams (press and auto show) to achieve objectives from a cost, quality, performance, and timing standpoint. • Established and drove common processes and systems for both press and show teams. • Monitored and reported quality issues to drive back resolution to our plants, engineers, and Supplier quality teams.• Established a yearly budget and tracked event costs, service agreements, and prep level costs. • Worked with Suppliers, purchasing, plants, and engineering to coordinate part requirements, timing and procedures for vehicle retrofits. • Led international meetings for press and auto show to ensure vehicles were built properly, to the accurate prep levels, and cost/timing objectives are met. • Traveled to Regional Zone Prep Offices to audit facilities, perform training, and ensure procedures were being followed. • Attended Auto Shows to ensure prep quality standards were being consistently achieved. • Negotiated a revolutionary buy-back program with LKQ, FCA Legal, and Sales and Marketing to buy approved components from scrapped vehicles.

• Managed 20 Powertrain Supplier Quality Engineers for advanced and current quality launch activities. • Managed Advanced Quality Planning, Powerway, Process Sign Off and First Production Shipment Certification elements of Advanced Planning for new launch powertrain commodities. • Performed emergency on-site assistance for troubled suppliers due to capacity constraints or severe quality issues.• Managed all yard hold and early warning warranty activity to report to Executive Management the affected vehicle population, clean/dirty point criteria and irreversible corrective action plan.

• Managed 15 Plant Supplier Quality Specialists within five component operation plants. • Managed sourcing and quality issues for Engines, Powertrain Modules, Fuel Injection, Pumps and Powertrain components. • Directed Specialists in the use of the Supplier quality/warranty alert process, coordinated Supplier reviews/workshops/training, and facilitated quality meetings with the plant and Suppliers. • Assisted the Commodity Specialists when on-site Supplier visits were required and was able to maintain all operations during limited staffing of the downturn period. • Developed QS-9000 systems for plant supplier quality and participated in assessment audits at each plant.

• Worked with Engineering, Platform, Supplier Quality, and Production to source camshafts, crankshafts, water/oil pumps, dampers, and suspension components to Suppliers. • Developed commodity strategies with Daimler counterparts and Senior Management to identify synergy Suppliers for DC’s long term sourcing relationships. • Additional assignments included identifying and implementing cost reduction proposals, working with advanced quality planning, and resolving Supplier capacity constraints.
