To obtain a professional position, in which I may utilize my education and clinical experience to oversee and advance the nursing profession.I have been a labor and delivery nurse for more than 11 years, with over 6 of them at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, where I have worked with many practitioners. During the majority of my time there I have occupied the role of Charge Nurse for the labor and delivery/nursery/postpartum areas, reallocating staff and resources based on the needs of the units. Throughout my Master’s educational program I took the Lead in group situations and developed multiple business plans. I have great leadership and organizational skills; I pay attention to details, am deadline-oriented and possess a calm demeanor. I enjoy sharing knowledge regarding nursing through shadowing and mentoring Capstone students and being a preceptor for inexperienced nurses.
