Manage the legal operations function within our organization. Collaborate closely with other members of the legal department, cross-functional teams, and external partners to streamline legal department processes, optimize efficiency, and develop, analyze, and report on key performance indicators. Responsible for developing and implementing strategies, technologies, policies, and procedures to enhance the overall effectiveness and productivity of our legal department. Responsible for acting as a team lead for legal operations professionals.Primary responsibility for the intake and investigation of PHI and PI incidents and, in consultation with other members of the Privacy Office, conduct breach assessments and draft required breach notifications for review. Administer process for receiving, documenting, tracking, investigating, and responding to internal or external inquiries or complaints concerning the organization’s privacy policies, practices and procedures in coordination with other relevant departments, as applicable.

Management of cases for my assigned attorneys; calendar all deadlines, meetings, etc.; file all lawsuits and other pleadings with the court using CMECF for federal filings and Green Filing for state filings; prepare: correspondence, pleadings, and memoranda through dictation, hand-written notes, and independent instruction; maintain both electronic and hard file for all cases; coordinate service of lawsuits; process all conflict checks for potential clients; maintain discovery electronically; interact with clients, mediators, court personnel, and opposing counsel regularly; appellate case work; trial and hearing preparation; and legal research. In addition to my legal work, I have worked with the Human Resources Department and the Chief Operating Officer in the interviewing, hiring, and training process.

Management of all cases through Time Matters 9.0 through LexisNexis; calendar all deadlines, meetings, etc.; file all lawsuits with the court; prepare: correspondence, responses, pleadings, demand letters, check requests; maintain both electronic and hard file for all cases; maintain archived files; coordinate service of lawsuits; legal research; and draft corporate documents.

Assist all attorneys in drafting pleadings and correspondence through dictation on both federal criminal cases and family law cases.
