Reporting to the Vice President of Control Brand Product Development, led a team responsible for the sustainable development of hundreds of new products annually as well as the ongoing product life cycle maintenance of over 10K SKUs for some of Canada’s largest brands including President’s Choice, no name, Sea Quest, Farmer’s Market and Life brandKey Accomplishments:• Designed and implemented sustainability policies and processes that standardized product development process and standards across categories, including over 985 products with third party sustainability certifications representing $1.6B in annual sales• As a trusted subject matter expert, trained hundreds of new and existing colleagues on sourcing high risk commodities and implementing third party certification programs• Conducted commodity and water risk assessments across the total control brand portfolio• Developed brand standards, guardrails and on pack claims for new brands such as PC Planet First and Life Brand Pure Solutions• Managed the Plastics Steering Committee comprised of senior level executives from across the organization, driving progress of key commitments to eliminate waste and accelerate climate action• Provided visibility to the progress and impact of over a hundred plastics improvement initiatives by creating and managing cross functional team reporting• Managed complex data analysis to support annual progress reporting and compliance for sustainable seafood, palm oil and CSR/ESG reporting• Drove improvements for communication of sustainability achievements through development of social (yammer/Flip) posts and collaboration with marketing and PR teams on external comms• Represented Loblaw on several external boards and executive councils, industry associations, and as a speaker, moderator and contributor to dozens of multi-stakeholder groups, events and publications
