I obtained a seasonal position here as a receptionist. I answered and made phone calls, scheduled appointments, cancelled appointments, made sure that clients were matched with the appropriate tax professional based on their individual needs, filed paperwork, and preformed many other daily tasks. In my short time there for the season I received three incentive awards for outstanding customer service and teamwork.

Through working for the Census Bureau during the Summer I acquired a permanent position with the Census Bureau as one of their field reps. I work several different surveys for various sponsors. I receive my case load at the beginning of the month and plan my route accordingly. I operate unsupervised and at my own discretion. I interview people at their homes, colleges, and elderly facilities and attempt to gain their cooperation. I schedule appointments and follow ups with respondents. I keep a detailed description of all correspondence with these respondents and report to my home office in Philadelphia when necessary. A great level of detail is required with this position and I am great at providing it. I also use maps to plan my route and day and keep track of all mileage and time incurred while working these cases.

My duties included entering tax return data into the computer system in a timely manner. While doing this I had to maintain accuracy and check for tax payer mistakes on the return. I must also keep up to date on procedures and methods.. I received countless incentive bonuses for my speed and accuracy in entering the required data.
