Reporting to the Divisional Vice President, mandated to rebuild a planning process to manage pre and in-season planning, forecasting and receipt management at the department and category level that included a blend of consignment vs owned inventory. Re-established timelines and responsibilities within the Girlswear department for 90 stores, motivating and coaching the team to turn the business around. • Responsible for Open to Buy control and inventory management. Managed store level inventory to maximize store sales potential and minimize out-of-season inventory. Developed pre-season plans and utilized SAS Planning System to manage in-season plans.• Provided direction on allocation approaches and strategies to assistant planners for a specific business.• Managed the mark-down process to ensure proper inventory currency was maintained and ending inventory targets met.

Reporting to the Director of Planning and Allocation provided leadership, coaching and mentoring to a team of six Planners, Allocators and Pricing Analyst. Partnered with operations and marketing teams to ensure seamless execution of promotions and changes. Co-ordinated the planning team for all floor sets ensuring accurate quantifications and timely delivery of goods to maximize sales. Responsible for trouble shooting systemic issues with regards to pricing downloads and promotional cadence.• Appointed as the planning project manager for the redevelopment and implementation of the Product Procurement process from initial budget to final liquidation. Responsible for researching and interviewing all areas of the business and identified opportunities for improvement. • Forecasted sales, markdowns and inventory levels to trend on a weekly basis. Analyzed data daily/weekly to advise best promotional course of action. • Partnered with Product Manager and Associate Buyer to understand category market trends and blends of business to maximize profits and turns and to ensure adherence to the corporate OTB strategy and maintain inventory levels.

Responsible for nine stores opened in the United States. Contributed to the U.S. Divisional goals and performance by executing divisional product objectives for the target customer, analyzing the Canadian assortment to guide and influence the blend of the U.S. assortment, developing pricing strategies and delivering on seasonal merchandising plans taking into consideration category specific needs.

Implemented the first “Pricing 4 Profit” markdown system in Canada. Responsible for ensuring proper integration of the new system with existing systems and processes. Utilized the tool to manage price elasticity, markdown cadence, promotional strategies, seasonality and lifecycle of goods in order to maximize profits and drive unit velocity. Responsible for determining sku level markdown pricing in seven regions and 120 stores across Canada to ensure inventory liquidation in a timely and profitable manner based on individual sku performance.
