As District Coordinator I oversee the operations of the Safe Routes to School program called the Walking School Bus. This program helps students travel safely to school through walking and cycling.My current responsibilities include working with building coordinators, principals, administration, volunteers and students to develop WSB programs unique to the needs of each school. I oversee the program at six schools. Communication at the building and district levels is essential for providing knowledge of the program. I am involved win fundraising and seeking donations to support the various programs. I have written grants to that financially support the WSB. I help organize the annual International Walk to School Day and National Bike to School Day events for the district. Initiated a program called the Every Day Walker/Rider Challenge which encourages students to walk to school everyday of the school year. This program is supported by local businesses and organizations through generous donations.

Everlasting Stitches was a retail quilt shop. My responsibilities included cutting fabric, assisting customers picking out fabric for quilts, and checking customers out. The shop owner retired in January 2016 and closed the shop.
