Lycoming Engines Advanced Solutions Center is the source for multi-fuel, piston powerplant solutions from 2-400 hp. As the manager of this area, I develop and manage processes to support the design, development, and testing of our engines.

•Technical Lead on team to design, test, integrate next generation engine for confidential customer with personal ownership of gearbox integration. Developed technical specifications, evaluate designs, develop test procedures, and evaluate test results for developmental gearbox.•Developed Change Control Process to coordinate Lycoming's internal design control process with customer's, contracts, and customer service.•Participated on Material Review Board, responsible to determine airworthiness of non-conforming material. Additionally provided on-call engineering support to manufacturing.

•Managed supplier commodity portfolio with annual spend of $37M.•Lowered annual spend by 1% for 2009 budget cycle, while overall Procurement budget increased 5% due to metal and energy surcharges.•Sourced new suppliers and negotiated pricing for cost-effective solutions.•Compiled and analyzed statistical data to determine effectiveness of suppliers; develop and implement strategies for corrective action when necessary.•Act as Project Manager to coordinate engineering work, FAA approval, and production planning, to seamlessly implement technology between suppliers (castings, pistons) and also to transition technical solutions

•Managed Logistics department for 800 person facility. Responsibilities included Purchasing, Scheduling, Inventory Deployment, Receiving, and Shipping groups.•Oversaw Customer Service improvement for Snacks division from 91% to over 98% through a corresponding 50% Full Goods Inventory reduction.•Initiated APICS certification training process for Logistics employees.•Led Purchasing group to reduce Raw & Pack DSI by 20%.•Worked with OSM’s from several other plants to develop production transition, co-pack contingency, inventory build, and service plans as a result of four other ConAgra plant closures.

•Liaison to brewery Operations for major packaging area activities such as asset utilization, APL implementation, packaging line performance scorecard.•Represented BOT-Operations on cross-functional new products/packages introduction team.•Reviewed packaging line budget standards and variances. Developed recommendations for Operations Management.•Led team to design and implement web-based project implementation tracking system.

•Responsible for all business aspects of 3-shift, 5-production-line operation including safety, quality, labor, production schedule, process loss, and maintenance planning & execution.•Responsible for process improvement initiatives that improved Process Loss by .5% on two production lines.•Designed & implemented process changes to reduce one operator per shift in canning shop.•Developed can line operational data in support of proposed 2005 Budget Standard changes.•Implemented procedure to document filler Critical Process Control parameters for use in decision-making for TPO and other quality process improvements.•Wrote and published benchmark webpage for area.

•Managed team of 5 Maintenance Group Managers and 120 full-time technicians.•Directly involved in recruiting, hiring, and developing several maintenance supervisors and 2-dozen technicians.•Implemented program to track and schedule staffing resources for packaging operation.•Devised and implemented Maintenance Information Repository to facilitate information sharing.•Acted as Production Shift Superintendent.•Acted as Operations representation on Brewery LOTO Committee.
