I work as the Triage Nurse for a multi-physician practice. I primarily take calls all day assisting patients with questions/problems, make appointments, call in prescriptions, and call patients with results. I also assist on the floor with patients. I can do vitals, bladder scans, draw blood and catheter changes when needed.

Current position includes assisting the physician in procedures & exams...drawing blood, calling in prescriptions, liason between patients & physician between visits, notifying patients w/ lab results, running several 'inhouse' labs & preparing others for courier pickup, making appointments when necessary.....I am trained for front & back office.

I started in the lab, doing vital signs & simple finger stick labs. Prepared paperwork for pregnant patients to be sent to the hospital. Made my way to the back office to assist physician w/ physical exams, including pap smears & obstetrical visits, including assisting w/ sonograms. Eventually becoming office manager & working w/ insurance companies on claims & payments. Collection procedures with non-paying patients & those making monthly payments.
