Storage Services develops standardized Storage solutions for sale to HPE customers, which are delivered by HPE storage delivery teams, either from HPES data centers or customer data centers. The Storage Services Portfolio includes several packages within multiple offerings. Data Center Backup and Remote File Protection are examples of the packages. Several of these Packages are “managed” by a suite of software known as BURS-SSMS. This software suite consists of COTS software applications combined with HP produced customizations and a reporting database – EMC Data Protection Advisor and SQLServer Reporting Services make up the system. BURS-SSMS provides support for integration of backup job and infrastructure alerting, management, reporting and billing metrics to corporate enterprise level systems.• Responsible for developing and maintaining SSMS-BURS applications and reporting for BURS (Backup and Restore) offerings and engineers.• Member of the engineering team responsible for developing a migration plan to move from DPA 5.8.5 to DPA 6.2.1.
