I am a member of the hardware team on the UW Robotics Team, which is working to build a fully functional Mars rover, equipped with six wheels and an articulated arm capable of six degrees of freedom. I have Implemented closed-loop control of DC motors to enhance the performance of the ODrive system. I am testing and modifying the motor system to prevent too much current from being drawn by the drive base.

I worked for the start-up Helpwear, a wearable medical device company, building an upper arm band capable of measuring ECG signals to detect heart defects. As a QA intern, I designed and conducted user testing that was used to validate the project and to prepare for the upcoming FDA approval. After conducting the tests I used MATLAB to analyze the data and identify the causes and possible solutions to noisy signals. I also used Altium to design and manufacture a PCB that simulated skin, signals from the heart, and background noise from muscles. This PCB was used to test the watch for defects.

Worked with the Electrium design team to build an electric skateboard that could travel at speeds up to 40km/h. I personally was in charge of designing and building the board, wheels, and controllers from scratch. To do this I modeled them in Fusion360 and then built them using a combination of milling, 3D printing, and laser cutting machines. This project required me to collaborate and work with the members of the electrical team to make sure the mechanical parts were well integrated with the electrical parts.

I created a data validation process using Python that replaced the previously manual process, which reduced testing costs and improved fraud detection. I automated a SQL-based dashboard for real-time monitoring of customer software usage, support interactions, and customer response times. In addition, I built extensive databases, including global postal code formats to improve data validation accuracy

Designed and developed a 3U CubeSat that placed 1st in the Canadian Satellite Design Challenge, also collaborated with the mechanical team to redesign CubeSat side panels, optimizing them for increased strength and reduced weight using AutoCAD.

I worked as the director of the climbing wall at an overnight summer camp. I performed daily maintenance on the climbing wall, led 6 hours of climbing sessions every day, and supervised campers throughout the day. I trained staff in how to use the wall, and worked closely with other staff members and campers, coordinating schedules and planning lessons together. I was also awarded employee of the month.

Designed and sketched extensive plans for the robots and delegated the work to club members. I planned the club’s weekly meetings, organized competitions, and ordered machine parts. Resulted in two robots placing in the top 10 out of 50 other teams in the VEX robotics tournament.

During the summer season, I was employed at a very popular food truck. My responsibilities included both independent and collaborative tasks, as we catered hundreds of customers during each shift. In addition to food preparation, I actively took orders and dealt with customers, maintained the truck's cleanliness, and contributed to the training of fellow team members.

Interned with Call Emmy, a startup catering to the needs of busy parents by offering specialized care solutions. My role primarily involved marketing tasks, including conducting extensive research surveys to inform product design decisions. Additionally, I crafted a compelling presentation to effectively communicate the service benefits to potential customers.

Worked as a barista during the summer for a busy coffee store. I prepared drinks and food alike, kept a clean working environment, kept track of daily tips and profits, and trained future empoyees.
