Successfully developed, implemented, and executed an exercise program in the South East section of Houston, Texas. Had success stories of families exercising together, positive results (weight loss), and stable attendance throughout the program. Had pre, mid, and post test evaluations measuring participant's fitness level. Hired staff, developed material, and did marketing and outreach.

• Supervise, coordinate, and implement health education and exercise activities at four multi-service centers in Houston serving over 400,000 residents. • Develop and maintain partnerships. Keep open communication with internal and external partners.• Plan and implement health programs, educating community members on health conditions through evidence based programs and through newly implemented and evaluated programs, presentations and handouts. • Planning and implementing a diabetes center and the health education activities that will serve more than 400 patients within the first three months of its initial open.• Plan, gather and produce material for special projects. • Supervise 4 interns.

• Worked on 5 year CDC funded asthma grant, through Houston ISD, which included CDC initiatives, activities, budgets and reports. • Organized, developed, and presented professional developments for school nurses, teachers, and staff while providing ongoing information, educational tools, resource availability, and re-usable content to encourage active participation. • Supervised and visited 12 “Target Schools” and helped with asthma management and documentation.• Helped plan and implement the "Tools for Schools" program in HISD. • Developed and implemented educational material, such as the Air Quality Index poster, wrote the monthly bilingual asthma newsletter, "BREATH" for Houston ISD, and created handouts. • Created an on-line bilingual professional development course: “Asthma Basics for Schools” and EPA's “Tools for School's Indoor Air Quality.” • Facilitated and coordinated comprehensive health services required for at-risk children and families. • Identified best practices and launched programs site to site. • Coordinated Health Fairs and attend events. Updated HISD’s Asthma Website.• Facilitated the development and submission of grant/micro-grant requests to financially support initiatives.

• Developed educational handouts and taught health education topics and chair aerobics for 5 different groups of senior citizens for 12 week periods. • Administered senior citizen pre and post assessment test and evaluations, organized participant’s paper work, revised documents, and updated forms for participant information.
