• Responsible for supporting approximately 16,000 US employees with their leaves and accommodations in coordination with our external leave administrator • Educate and guide employees and managers of various aspects of the leave process, leave policies and state leave• Partner closely with Business Partners, Internal Legal Counsel and the Business to assess risk and make confident leave and accommodation decisions• Assist employees with navigating the process of applying for leave, short-term disability and returning to work• Provide extensive coordination with Business Partners, Internal Legal Counsel, the Business and other Stakeholders as needed when an interactive dialogue is required or when the Business is unsure how to proceed with a leave or accommodation request• Meets regularly with Business Partners and Internal Legal Counsel to review claims statuses and to develop sound strategies for low-risk resolution• Ensures that STD claims are coordinated with FMLA or general medical cases

• Main point of contact for all US Sigma-Aldrich HR managers, HR generalists, and HR specialists with regards to policies, procedures, recruiting and hiring questions, FMLA and short term disability inquiries, and any additional information needed• Primary resource for employees both in person and through our Shared Services phone line concerning benefits, policies, recruiting, compensation, the tuition program, and the internal database (HR Direct)• Oversee internal recruiting as well as non-exempt external recruiting processes by posting openings to our internal and external databases, shortlisting resumes to hiring managers, creating offer letters, and providing assistance as needed to the hiring manager• Manage new hire on-boarding including screens (drug screen, physical assessment, and background checks) and SAP entry for all US Sigma-Aldrich sites• Enter workflows into SAP after ensuring information is accurately reflected on the process form for internal moves (promotions, demotions, lateral moves), separations, salary updates, shift changes, supervisor moves, and leaves of absences• Approve and process tuition reimbursement requests for all US Sigma-Aldrich sites

• Accountable for working closely with the Project Sponsor and Process Manager to determine scope of various assigned projects, manage provided resources and maintain Process & Governance standards• Creation of the Process & Governance standards model in partnership with two other colleagues• Creation and administration of the Process & Governance feedback survey• Application of time management and task tracking methodologies to successfully see all projects through to completion while managing various priorities • Demonstration of repeated collaboration across all necessary functions and cultures to achieve project goals timely and effectively • Successful project closure of seven projects while currently working on closing three additional projects by the end of 2023• Identified and implemented over 100 process improvements in collaboration with various teams (Legal, Market HR, GSC, LCS GA, R2P, etc.) as part of the North America Quality Council Champion; this role transitioned out of responsibility in April 2022

• Responsible for delivering Day One New Hire Orientation in St. Louis for approximately two hundred new hires each year including creation of the orientation slide deck and I-9 completion• Successful implementation and project management of new time and attendance system (ADP eTime) for the US Sigma-Aldrich sites• Maintain collaboration with hiring managers, information technology, recruiting, the candidate and mobility to ensure smooth and positive onboarding experiences for over four hundred and fifty employees• SAP entry of the four hundred and fifty on-boarded candidates• Place Service Now (SNOW) orders and ensure receipt of IT equipment for external candidates hired into SAP • Single point of contact for Health Care product expansion in October/November of 2018 for approximately sixty new hires inclusive of collaboration with the fleet team, recruiting team, hiring managers, information technology team and new hires to ensure a smooth onboarding experience• Work with mobility to ensure the Labor Condition Applications are posted accordingly in the St. Louis (Spruce) facility• Responsible for the creation of communication documents to be provided to Human Resources and Recruiting regarding our annual performance data freeze for 2019• Receive and resolve unemployment claims received at the St. Louis (Spruce) facility with the associated HRBP
