Led the creation of a robust validation dataset for a document data extraction initiative: • Trained and managed a 3rd party labeling team and created secure labeling jobs. • Created a program to process bounding-box labels and extract the final key-value pair validation dataset for 28 fields in over 3K insurance policy documents.Fostered an analytics-driven culture at Vertafore by spearheading the development and dissemination of data insights through user-friendly dashboards: • Data as a Service (DaaS) Dashboard: Partnered with industry experts to create a dashboard which showcased Vertafore's comprehensive data offerings and highlighted critical analytics use cases tailored to DaaS customers. Presented the DaaS dashboard in sales efforts driving over $6M in data sales. • Customer Data Quality Dashboard: Built logic to assess customer data quality and predict customer success with other Vertafore product offerings. Equipped Vertafore sales teams with customer-specific data quality assessments, utilizing red-yellow-green scoring, facilitating targeted and effective sales strategies.

Leadership:• Wrote and developed 8 different programs which optimized the importation, naming, extraction, and analysis of data from 5 different instruments in my research lab.• Organized, with a small team, a cross-country, 20-person laboratory relocation, including scientific equipment and hazardous materials. Acquired >$300,000 in new laboratory equipment (2014).Research:My research in Yale's chemistry department developed fundamental principles to improve the efficacy of titanium dioxide containing devices from solar cells to self-cleaning surfaces. • I hypothesized that the broad applicability of nanoscale titanium dioxide (TiO2) resulted from its ability to facilitate a wide array of simple chemical reactions or processes.• To study these processes individually, I designed and developed a simplified solar cell model system (containing only TiO2 and water) and used it to identify multiple novel TiO2 reactions. • I discovered two distinct types of electrons in TiO2, and their study provided new insights into the behavior of TiO2 in devices such as solar cells and self-cleaning coatings.

Instructor for Yale Pathways to Science summer program (3 summers)• Created the curriculum for a week-long lecture/laboratory course where students constructed solar cells from titanium dioxide and berries. • Taught the course for 3 summers to >30 local high school students.Teaching Fellow (5 semesters)• Constructed and delivered biweekly lectures to >20 college students.• Managed students during weekly laboratory sections.• Held weekly advising hours, organized study sessions, and wrote and graded exams.
