My passions are helping others and finding solutions, it is the main reason I went into criminal justice as my major. Studying crime and criminal behavior is far beyond what people do and why they do it, it really digs into important subjects, like racial inequities, mass incarceration, and the need for reform. Like many other social behavioral studies, criminal justice looks at both the person and the environment and how the two connect, and it is fascinating. Through this I found my real passion is working with people, helping those in need and being part of the solution. I enjoy serving the public and my community and it brings me great joy. Therefore, I am grateful I found a career that does just that, enables me to serve communities.If you have a problem, I am the one who loves to help solve it, I find challenging situations as an opportunity to learn and grow and have found that regardless of position, there is always room to expand one’s worldview and gain knowledge. I enjoy being part of the Triton team as it has fostered my love for community, problem solving and education.When I am not studying or working, I am enjoying spending time with my daughter, a ten-year-old who has a passion for life and an inquisitive nature that keeps me on my toes. You can usually find us at the beach or in Big Bear soaking in fresh air and sunshine. Truly, I think being a mom has helped me most in life. It has taught me the true meaning of multi-tasking and has given me the ability to know when to ask for help. Being a mother has taught me how fun it is to root for others and want someone other than yourself to succeed.
