Reporting to the Technical Leader, I supported the day-to-day operations of the Environmental Sciences technical group across Canada. This included development and implementation of an early career development program across all disciplines at Dillon.

• Conducted field research in Muskoka, Ontario on invasive zooplankton and the potential for dispersal• Spent two months at the University of Western Australia Centre for Water Research (2008) to simulate Harp Lake as a 3D physical model using ELCOM and simulate movement of Bythotrephes by creating an algorithm in CAEDYM• Teaching assistant for invertebrate zoology and microbiology• Redesigned the first year biology lab course and coauthored a revised lab manual (2008/2009)

• Sampled 100 lakes in 10 weeks across watershed 2EB in Muskoka, including remote locations• Collected zooplankton community information and water chemistry data• Samples collected part of a larger 300 lake dataset managed by the Canadian Aquatic Invasive Species Network

Instructor for Fundamentals of Microbiology course

Taught ESL in Kaohsiung, Taiwan and Toronto, Ontario to students age 2-40

Designed and conducted experiments looking at pheromones as a mechanism to direct the movement and behaviour of an invasive fish species - the round goby.

Participated in the collection of benthic invertebrates, Cladophora and water chemistry as part of the Lake Erie Project to investigate near-shore phosphorus cycles.
