• Identified there were no internal policies around closing the books. Closed 48 months of books in order file corporate tax returns that had been extended. Implemented a monthly process to ensure the books were closed timely for accurate reporting and timely filing of tax returns.• Successfully finalized a sales tax project to register AcctTwo in all applicable states, file Voluntary Disclosure Agreements (VDAs), and pay the applicable back taxes. With no recourse to require customers to pay these back sales taxes that were not charged, I was able to negotiate customers pay 50% of the back taxes, thus cutting AcctTwo’s expenses to become compliant in half.
