For the past 23 years I’ve worked for the railway. Firstly in revenue protection for 3 years which involved cash handling & customer service. Working on ticket barriers and trains up and down the Windsor / Reading lines. Moving on to the role of Merto Guard train operational working of doors opening and closing. Offering customers information throughout the journey on travel and sometimes ticketing. Following health and safety rules. Communicating with the driver , platform staff and control centre when necessary. Focus on customer service. I am currently a train crew roster clerk with new challenges that I’m getting stuck into well. Before the railway I worked in Banks. Barclays processing cheques and credits . And for MBC processing loan applications in an office environment.
