I work with the written word in the same way I approached projects in my previous work as a research & development chemist: with an eye for detail while keeping the big picture in mind. I've combined strong language skills including an English minor, a flexible, chameleon-like ability to write in a wide range of styles, and technical communication training with a deep appreciation for the power of cleanly composed prose.My work with Aloha Publishing includes editing nonfiction and fiction books, proofreading manuscripts and copy, and writing website content. I'm learning about keyword strategy.My technical background includes chemical analysis in food, water, wastewater, soil, and transformer oil; experience in air-sensitive semiconductor precursor chemical handling; and small scale fabrication and characterization of experimental memory devices in a university cleanroom.
