Returned as CEO in 2009 to reorganize the company and upgrade the business. Initiatives included a wide-scale studio redevelopment plan, new construction and design. Doubled historical EBITDA by 2010 and 2011 for record years. In 2012 began developing a new retail studio concept, Glow Candle Lounge. Led design, operations, real estate and development plans. The first Glow opened its doors in Q3 2012.

Co-founded Petroglyph Ceramic Lounge, a new concept in retail (called by Forbes "Participatory Retail") and launched the pioneer "contemporary ceramic studio" which evolved into a national phenomenon. After leaving CMM, refined the original concept in 1993-1994 and opened the first studio in Santa Cruz (1994), rapidly followed by Palo Alto (1995), Los Gatos (1996), Sacramento (1997), Roseville (1997) and San Jose (1997). Lead manufacturing facility, studio operations, training, new concepts; Managed an aggressive Bay Area Rollout plan that included site selection, real estate development, and partnered in fundraising activities. Scaled back to 4 studios in 2000 and stepped back to a supporting role. Petroglyph continues to be an industry leader.
