I assist the Northeast & Southeast regions with patient and care partner education regarding the RNS System as a potential treatment option. I also provide care coordination to keep patients engaged and on track during their surgical work up process. In addition, I educate patients on the value of seeing an epilepsy expert at a Comprehensive Epilepsy Center (CEC) in their area, and when requested by the patient or provider, I provide referral insights to make their transition from community care to a CEC more seamless.

As a nurse case manager at LivaNova, I have the great pleasure & immense privilege of working with intractable epilepsy patients; a population of people who desperately need assistance. I helped to educate patients on the benefits and risks of the Vagus Nerve Stimulator, obtained insurance authorization for this specialized procedure, and arranged consult and OR dates with the patients' surgeons. When requested, I helped remove barriers to care, such as getting patients set up with providers so they could obtain surgery clearances, assisted patients in obtaining PCP referrals, and helped to arrange transportation through their insurance carrier.
