Beaver College of Health Sciences has approximately 3500 students in 16 programs. We are in the final phase of our fundraising initiative for our $85 M interprofessional health building, Levine Hall of Health Sciences. We will celebrate the grand opening on Friday, September 21, 2018, to be located in the heart of the Appalachian Regional Healthcare Campus. We are deeply grateful to all who have joined us in this project which promises to be a transformative force in creating sustainable health care in region. Our fundraising focus is shifting from the capital support, to student support. With only 1.4% of Beaver CHS students receiving scholarships, and 10 percent of Appalachian State students coming from families earning at or below the poverty line, scholarships make a huge difference for opening the doors of a college education to students, and relieving some of the stress of balancing work, study, family and making the most of four formative years on campus.
