Jennifer Sullivan is a young aspiring researcher who recently obtained a Master of Molecular Biology from The University of Queensland, with a research project that focused on developing a serological assay for the detection of herpesvirus in Australian flying foxes (Pteropus species).Jennifer also holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours Class 1) in Animal and Veterinary Bioscience and a Bachelor of Wildlife Science. Through her honours research she was the first to report the presence of herpesviruses in Australian flying foxes (Pteropus spp.). Her research interests are molecular virology, viral diseases of wildlife, and vaccine development to improve viral disease control in bats.
