What's going on in the Three Lakes School District, you ask? Well, it's my job to answer that question. I work daily to improve district branding and to build strong communication between our schools and our communities. I work on photography, writing, website content, media relations and more.

In addition to working in the publishing world, my husband and I also offer freelance creative services, including photography, editing, writing and graphic design. Together, we offer more than 40 years of publishing experience. We provide everything from logo design to real estate photography to editing and book layouts. Currently, I contribute regularly.

Responsible for the online content of Treatment Plant Operator, a water and wastewater industry publication. This includes creating content, writing blogs, assigning articles to freelancers and editing copy. Additionally, I monitor Google Analytics and email response to understand — and respond to — reader needs.

Iola, WI

Managed online circulation marketing for roughly 40 hobbyist publications, including budgets, email campaigns, analytics, and relationships with third-party vendors. Also managed a staff of three employees, and worked closely with an out-of-house fulfillment center to coordinate circulation efforts.

Worked on renewal campaigns for several hobbyist publications, including print and digital renewal efforts. Monitored campaign results, pricing structure and consumer response to maintain a budgeted renewal rate.

This custom-publication was a joint effort between Bass Pro Shops and Krause Publications. I coordinated photos, managed a pool of photographers, edited copy and wrote stories. A primary component of this position was managing the relationship between a corporate entity and our publishing company.

Worked in the Outdoors Division at F&W Media, which was then Krause Publications. Primary responsibility was Deer & Deer Hunting magazine and then Wisconsin Outdoor Journal and Turkey & Turkey Hunting magazines. Daily work included editing, writing. proofing, and managing photo needs for the magazines.
