As Membership and Events Coordinator with Downtown Kelowna Association I managed a membership which exceeded 900 business and 300 property owners. It was my responsibility to update and keep current multiple databases and supporting materials which worked to educate our membership on our organization (and the role of advocacy it plays for them) and the benefits of its membership. Communication of our role and services is vital. In my role, I also executed 15 varied events and promotions (along with supporting materials) throughout the year which worked to promote Downtown Kelowna as a community and drive economic activity into said community. - All events required effective oversight of event timelines and budget, traffic management, staff and volunteer management and coordination, electrical considerations, communication with and coordination of high levels of vendors and community partners- Fostering relationships with a large membership entailed varied forms of communication on a consistent basis, including online newsletters, print materials, and face to face consultations and meetings.

As Marketing Director for The Okanagan Wine Festivals Society I spent two years working to define the strategic direction of the organization. I built both a business plan for the society as well as a detailed IMC strategy to help guide marketing endeavors (in the now) and moving forward. On a day to day basis I consulted on ad creatives and proofed advertorials and media releases, among many various tasks.During my contract with the Okanagan Wine Festivals Society I spearheaded and completed three major strategic projects for the society.1. Society Brand Standards2. Redesign of society website www.thewinefestivals.com3. Social Media Strategy and Execution Plan

This was a contract position through to August 2012. I was responsible for guest services initiatives during Wet Ape's most noted festival, Center of Gravity(the largest sports and music festival in Western Canada), as well as Wet Ape's first annual music and arts festival Keloha. These initiatives include accommodation partnerships, transportation systems for attendees, merchandise coordination and overseeing media relations.In 2013, I continued to provide insight to the Wet Ape team, specifically those who took over my projects.

I started at Milestones as a hostess, and over five years I moved up from hostess to many different roles in the restaurant. I took on roles as a server, bartender, expeditor, and manager. In 2008 I took a year off school to take the position of Hospitality Manager. I scheduled, trained and developed 15 employees while enhancing the hospitality experience within the restaurant.
