As an Associate Professor at Barry University's School of Social Work, I bring a wealth of experience as a neuro-informed and trauma-focused psychotherapist with over 26 years of clinical practice and 21 years in academia. My training encompasses modalities such as EMDR, Interpersonal Neurobiology, MBSR, clinical hypnotherapy, neurofeedback, HeartMath, and Integrative Nutrition and Mental Health, allowing me to offer a comprehensive approach to fostering well-being.With a commitment to uncovering the root causes of dysregulation, I integrate neuroscience into social work, emphasizing mindfulness and the mind-body connection. Honored as the Social Work Educator of the Year by NASW Broward Unit in 2024, I have developed innovative curricula for MSW and DSW students, promoting advanced trauma-focused interventions.
