I am a team and task oriented educator/trainer, with an entrepreneurial spirit. I am a problem solver by nature, organized, and driven to succeed. I am able to multi-task with ease and bring a positive energy to any environment I work in. I exhibit proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. I have a passion for public speaking with experience in writing and organizing successful presentations for a variety of audiences. Overall, I have 20+ years in the field of education. Including 14 years in public school classrooms, 7 years experience in Educational Management, 18+ years in Special Needs Family Advocacy, and I have demonstrated 10 years of strong leadership skills in the volunteer/non-profit environment. Additionally, I have skills in human resources with recruiting, staff training and scheduling. In my current role as an elementary gifted and talented teacher I have a strength in challenging my students who bring to the table a fixed mindset by pushing them into a growth mindset. I get them to understand the value of their mistakes, growing from their mistakes, building and understanding that nothing is perfect and everything has room for growth, change, improvement and most of all their own personal progress.In my previous role as an exceptional education teacher, with 10 years experience as a teacher in public education and 11 more in the private/ religious/non-secular environment I build a classroom where all learners will succeed. Working in a classroom I break down all tasks into small steps so that each learner grasps the material at their own pace and feels comfortable to ask any questions.
