The Neighborhood Cup is an independent coffeehouse in Aliso Viejo. My dad, Steve, and I wanted to create a "third place" where people of all ages and backgrounds could convene for incredible coffee and snacks, hear inspiring live music, meet friendly community members, participate in clubs and various groups, and engage in all sorts of fun and creative community-focused activities.If The Cup was open, most likely, I was there. As an owner-operator, I loved interacting with our very loyal customers and employees. We made coffee an art and quality was always top priority. There was a fun and enticing menu and we always featured interesting specials for both food and drinks.I was responsible for hiring and training, ordering and inventory management, community outreach, event planning, marketing, strategy, and most aspects of daily operations. We had very little turnover in the 6+ years we ran The Cup and are grateful for the loyalty and dedication of our staff. They became an extended family and we are fortunate to have maintained friendships with several of them.One day, a handsome man from Colorado walked through the door and he had me at "hello". I hooked him with my delicious Toffee Nut lattes and today we're married and have a happy, healthy baby boy. We frequent The Neighborhood Cup and are residents of Aliso Viejo so we love running into customers, friends, and community members at The Neighborhood Cup.
