I belong to the class of individuals who figured out an answer to the ubiquitous question "What do I do after school" early on. I found mine in my third year in university working on a term project with a faulty computer battery pack.The power went out and I lost my work because I had forgotten to save it. I felt so unsettled with this lingering problem, I put into Google search "How can an Economics major solve electricity problems in Nigeria" because I believed there was a way out. That search party took a pause the moment one of the many tabs opened revealed the term Energy Economics and it opened up another search. After my graduation, I volunteered at one of the early DFID projects in Nigeria to bring Renewable Energy alternatives to schools and clinics which was the best kick-off exposure I could have gotten. During this time, I saw firsthand what game-changer quality electricity could do for a power-deficient country with so much productivity potential. Knowing all these, I put myself in spaces to serve, and I have led renewable energy projects of over 630kW across SHS, C&I and Mini-Grid. Leveraging on my knowledge and experience in the field, I bring a people design-oriented, all-investment point of view focused projects to ease the deficiency of electricity access. Sometimes you will find me engaging people on the future prospects of Data and Software as a service (SaaS) for energy, unlocking productive use of energy, embracing cultural differences, gender and how technology can be leveraged for social impact. I am available to take up new challenges, blend into the diversity of any workforce and leverage existing work culture to boost productivity.
