Jennifer is an Audit Manager in the California audit practice at Grant Thornton, LLP. She began her career in public accounting with Grant Thornton in 2015, after spending a number of years in industry in various office manager and bookkeeper positions. She is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the AICPA. Jennifer’s public accounting experience includes serving clients ranging from large publicly traded international companies, small privately held businesses, not-for-profit organizations, as well as employee benefit plans. Her clients operate in the manufacturing, technology, and construction industries, or are non-profit organizations. Jennifer has prior industry experience working within all of the same, in various accounting and other production and R&D related roles. During her career with Grant Thornton, she has performed engagements for first year and ongoing financial statement audits and SOX 404 internal control audits, quarterly and annual financial statement reviews, agreed upon procedures, comfort letters, government fund audits, and opening balance sheet audits for acquisitions. Her experience includes auditing complex accounting estimates and transactions such as acquisitions, income taxes, debt transactions, management estimated reserve accounts; and implementation of new accounting standards such as the recent ASC 606 and ASC 842.Jennifer is a California Certified Public Accountant (License #142472) and is a member of the AICPA.Jennifer graduated with a Bachelor of Science, Accounting and Business/Management from San Jose State university in 2015. She holds Associate of Arts degrees in Accounting and in Business Administration, both with High Honors. Additionally, she has earned Certificates of Proficiency as a Bookkeeping Specialist and in Payroll Preparation.
