I work in the Strategic Planning & Analysis Department, Finance & Planning Division. Primary work duties include: - Liason with various municipalities, Planning Commisisons, and community organizations on their planning efforts as they relate to SEPTA - Provide data and analysis regarding these planning efforts - Create a database of transit-oriented development projects along SEPTA's stations - Assist SEPTA with its long-range planning efforts

As a community planner I performed a variety of general tasks:• Delivered community outreach, technical assistance, and project coordination to numerous community organizations. • Advised property owners, community organizations, and city agencies on zoning, property disposition, the redevelopment process, and other planning topics.• Coordinated and foster dialogue between disparate stakeholders including municipal agencies, developers, property-owners, and neighborhood groups. • Sat as the Planning Commission representative on the Vacant Property Review Committee, as well as, numerous steering committees for community-based plans. In addition to the general tasks of community planning, I was a project manager for several large studies:Philadelphia2035 • Headed the Outreach Team through identifying and booking public meeting locations, preparing presentation materials, and handling press and advertising. • Managed the Lower South District Plan, one of the first two districts plans.• Supervised the organization, writing, and research of the “Thrive” chapter of the Citywide Vision.Hunting Park West Industrial Area Study• Applied for and managed this major grant funded study from the Commonwealth’s Department of Community and Economic Development, providing oversight of consultants work product, time management, and project budget. • Undertook the findings of the study and implemented market study, zoning, and circulation recommendations.Germantown-Nicetown Transit Oriented Plan • Oversaw this grant funded study from the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission that enabled a long fractured community to come together over common development and planning goals, opportunities, and issues. • Implemented recommended zoning remappings, a national historic district, and applied for and received over $15 million in federal transportation and housing funding for Wayne Junction Station, new affordable housing, and demolition.

Haddonfield, Nj

• Served as the planner to a number of New Jersey municipalities; providing technical assistance on zoning, use, area and bulk variances, design guidelines, redevelopment laws, and development application reviews. • As a project manager, oversaw and conducted the preparation of all aspects of various planning documents including master plans, ordinance revisions, and redevelopment reports. • Presented plans and reports at public meetings, worked with steering committees, testified before planning boards and conducted visioning workshops.

New Brunswick, Nj

• Conducted design, demographic, and utilization research on transit oriented infill development for the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs.• Contributed to the editing process of an American Indian housing conditions and policy study to be published for the Fannie Mae Foundation.

Philadelphia, Pa

• Researched statistical data on housing costs, area income levels, and university employment, among other areas, through internet and phone contacts and helped produce the annual “University City Report Card.” • Conducted a streetscape survey and created a database to store and utilize the information.

• Researched and collected data used in the annual “State of Center City” report. • Supervised pedestrian counts used to market Center City Philadelphia to potential retail investors.• Gathered survey data (retail occupancy, housing, etc.) to aid the District’s efforts to analyze the trends affecting Center City and market the commercial core to potential investors and residents.
