Jennifer Cho Suhr is a Korean American writer, director, and editor, working in both animation and live action. She is currently staffed on an upcoming fantasy animated series for Nickelodeon and is developing an adult animated pilot with Local Time for Adult Swim as well as her debut live-action feature, TIME AWAY. Previously, Jennifer was staffed on an upcoming adult animated series and has developed and written for Netflix, DreamWorks, 9 Story, SpinMaster, Disney, and PBS, among others. The animated short she co-created for Frederator and Sony Animation, WELCOME TO DOOZY, has surpassed one million views on YouTube. She also co-created the satirical web series, AMERICAN VIRAL, executive produced by and starring Michael Showalter. As a writer/director, Jennifer has been a WarnerMedia 150 Fellow, an Asian American Arts Alliance Fellow, an Almanack Episodic Screenwiting Fellow, and was one of five directors to participate in Through Her Lens: The Tribeca Chanel Women's Filmmaker Program, where she was mentored by Kathryn Bigelow, Christine Vachon, Veena Sud, Marti Noxon, and Stella Meghie among others. Her projects have been selected for Tribeca Film Institute’s All Access, both the Film Independent Producing Lab and Fast Track programs, and was a finalist for AT&T’s Untold Stories.She received her BA from Yale University studying American Studies and Ethnicity, Race & Migration and her MFA from New York University’s Graduate Film Program where she was awarded the Tisch Fellowship, the Spike Lee Production Grant, and the Clive Davis Award.
