Jennifer is a leader, thought-partner, and connector. Jennifer is the owner and lead strategist of Educere Institute. After eighteen years as a program at Children's Beach House, Jennifer is branching out on her own with the Institute. Jennifer was the inaugural director of the Delaware Center for Youth Development (DCYD) at Children's Beach House in 2006. As a result of the high demand for professional development, in 2019, the DCYD was relaunched as the Educere Institute to reach a broader audience. Now the Institute stands as an independent LLC. Jennifer has extensive training experience and has presented nationally at Association for Childhood Education International, California School-Age Consortium, National Alliance for Black School Educators, and many more. Previously, Jennifer was the assistant executive director of a community mediation program and did extensive work in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution. She wrote and published curriculum for non-school hours programs and strived to build community through circle dialogue. In the past twenty years, Jennifer has completed over 6,500 facilitation hours with various organizations. She specializes in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging work, team building, leadership development, effective communication, and conflict management. Jennifer also loves doing work in positive psychology, resilience, and personal and professional wellness. In 2010, Jennifer was certified as a Bridges Out of Poverty trainer and in 2019 became a Certified Professional Coach. Jennifer holds a certificate in diversity and inclusion from Cornell University. She has served on several nonprofit boards and currently serves as the advisory-chairperson for Public Allies Delaware.
