I love cities and I love Cleveland, most of all. I've dedicated my career to ensuring the success of Cleveland's vitality in the field of architecture, entrepreneurship and now, philanthropy. I've spent over 28 years in the field of architecture and have managed the design, bidding and construction observation of many building projects. I also founded CityProwl, a series of urban walking-tours that can be downloaded from the internet to digital media players for self-led tours. I feel that protection of the urban core is vital to the success of America’s cities and that civic engagement, in part, is borne out of a knowledge and understanding of the city itself. I am delighted to join the George Gund Foundation, one of the leading Midwest family foundations that has made a profound impact on the landscape of Cleveland. I am past president of the Cleveland Chapter of Links, Inc and served on the boards of the Downtown Cleveland Alliance, LANDstudio, Cleveland Arts Prize, Cleveland International Film Festival, the Cleveland Botanical Garden, Laurel School, The Ohio Board of Building Standards and the Cleveland Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. I also chaired the boards of the Cleveland Landmarks Commission, Downtown/Flats Design Review Committee and served on the Group Plan Commission.
