Employee benefits attorney with Mercer's Health & Benefits business in the Chicago office and a member of the Regulatory Resources Group, a nationwide group of Mercer health and welfare compliance practice attorneys and legal professionals. Responsible for providing consultation on a variety of health and welfare benefit plan design and administration issues, including ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, PPACA and tax-related issues. Review health and welfare benefit plan documents, SPDs and employee communications for compliance requirements. Actively engaged in business development as well.

Responsible for responding to compliance questions from consultants and clients; reviewing plan documents, summary plan descriptions and employee communications; drafting articles and checklists to assist with health and welfare compliance; and presenting on legal issues affecting health and welfare benefits.
