“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I remember, involve me and I learn.” This quote from Benjamin Franklin sums up my thoughts as I assess, research, design, develop and implement training solutions for various business partners throughout my organization. I do this through incorporating education fundamental concepts on every project. These concepts include instructional design methodologies, adult learning theory, ADDIE, Kirkpatrick’s levels of education and neuroscience research to name a few. For every product, technical or sales training project given to me (usually multiple at a time), I assess to determine the appropriate training method for that specific audience whether it be an eLearning, classroom or virtual facilitated session, video based or a blended approach to achieve the best results. Performance support also needs to be considered as part of the overall learning solution to determine what the appropriate performance support tools are that need to be included.Not only do I design and develop training, but I also act as a Training Consultant. I explore with clients’ performance improvement or knowledge enhancement opportunities and serve as an information resource for many projects.
