I am a technologically fluent K-12 educator and leader. For the past twenty-two years in education I have demonstrated a laser like focus to drive initiatives forward while being cognizant of the stakeholders impacted and gently empower them to take risks. I engage globally with my personal learning networks, continually seeking meaningful ways to inform my practice and serve my districts. I also have the pleasure of traveling to help other school districts around the nation shift practices using technology. During my 20+ year career, I have designed technology curriculum for kindergarten through the twelfth grade, created district-wide strategic professional development plans, supervised Google Apps professional development for all district stake-holders, and I have also been a central office administrator and a lead evaluator. I am a regular spotlight speaker for Google Summits and national conferences. Furthermore, I have organized five conference events for the Lower Hudson Regional Information Center. I am a co-author for a regional educators group www.nyteched.org, a former co-chair for the regional Technology Directors group www.nyten.org and I blog about education and digital parenting on my site www.transparentlyteaching.com.
