Jennifer Degl is the mother of four, including a micro preemie who was born at 23 weeks gestation, and the founder of Speaking for Moms and Babies, Inc. She is also a licensed School Building and School District Administrator, waiting to find her first position in school leadership- one that is the right fit. Her advocacy mission is to educate the public on maternal and neonatal health issues. She is the author of three books, articles in the Journal of Pediatrics and the Journal of Perinatology, a fierce advocate, a passionate public speaker, an active member of the International Neonatal Consortium, and she also serves on the Board of Directors for the NICU Parent Network and NIDCAP Federation International and International Children's Advocacy Network. Jennifer has been a high school science teacher for over 20 years and believes education is the key to healthcare reform. It's because of her passion for advocacy and love of education that Jennifer returned to school to get her second master's degree in school administration and now has both a NYS School Building and School District Leader certifications, as well as her RULER certification.
