While working alongside a digital performance marketing company and their SEO and PPC input, the role involved improving the agency’s online presence by implementing extensive PR strategies and digital marketing campaigns. This included writing copy for the company’s blog, press releases, website and newsletter, including interviewing talent and reporting company news and growing social media following on Facebook, Twitter, Google+ etc. The role also involved writing and editing the company's seasonal print magazine.

The role involved writing sales letters on behalf of The Times 100 in a bid to sign up sponsoring companies for case studies.

Working for L'Avenir (Training) Ltd involved writing freelance for one of the company’s main clients The Times 100. This involved writing business case studies including a report on SWOT analysis and sustainable business planning for IKEA, meeting business needs through training and development for ASDA, and the application of the marketing mix for Parcelforce Worldwide. The role also involved editing these studies into different reading levels and summarising the pieces from 2000 words to 500 for student revision purposes.

As Editor-in-Chief, I interviewed everyone from Russell Loubser, CEO of Africa’s largest stock exchange, the JSE, Colin Erasmus, Head of Windows at Microsoft SA, Standard Bank’s Elizabeth Warren, and Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt Pietro Pazzi. The role also involved social networking; writing marketing material including press releases, media kits and newsletters; hosting conferences with international sales team; and managing freelancers and contributing writers.
