Reporting into the Head of Supply Chain and responsible for the National Purchasing team consisting of 3 Purchasing Managers split by product category with 36 purchasing officers which procure for over 12 distribution centres, 6 retails centres in Australia, and 3 distributions centres in New Zealand. Other responsibilities include managing the department P&L, and an annual purchasing spend of $615M across Australia and New Zealand. Managing over 400 strategic suppliers against service metrics including SIFOT. Rolling out new technology systems such as Ariba, SAP Lumira, Tableu, Sharepoint, and a Salesforce ticketing system, to improve performance SLA’s. Implementing company strategic projects for operational and working capital reductions. Accountable for the company service metrics of 98.75% in stock availability.

Managing the National Sales Support team to ensure driven and quality service is provided to the National Sales Team and external customers. Executing new customer implementations. Executing company strategies in a growing division of 22% YOY. Continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and efficiency. Reporting on company financials and customer usages. Running departmental operations such as coordinating presentations and town halls.

Responsible for a team of 6 direct reports purchasing $60M of inventory across 12 distribution centres in Australian & New Zealand. Managing the customer contracts for vendor managed inventory. Working with key stakeholders to achieve departmental outcomes. Chairing product category reviews with leaders of Sales, Merchandising, Marketing, and Supply Chain. Ensuring direct reports are achieving department SLA’s. Redesigning the production & configuration process in SAP & WMOS (Manhattan). Negotiating pricing with over 50 Supply Partners & Distributors. Ensuring catalogue transitions are successful.

Managing a team of 14 direct reports purchasing $140M of inventory across 12 distribution centres in Australian & New Zealand. Responsible for an in-stock fill rate service to customers of 98.5%. Ensuring all strategic suppliers are meeting the companies SIFOT (stock in full on time) targets. Liaising with operational stakeholders to meet to company SLA’s. Negotiating in QBR’s with Merchandising on supplier contractual agreements. Reducing slow moving inventory & maintaining stock turn-over. Creating quarterly forecasts to suppliers. Implementing continuous improvement projects in the overall supply chain department.

Managing a team of 3 team leaders with 40 warehouse associates. Implementing OHS and safety procedures. Assisting purchasing with the forecasting planning schedules and ordering cycles. Liaising with the material data planning team on new products, sales spikes, and over consumption. Presenting performance stats and KPI’s. Implementing a cycle count program to reduce stocktakes. Labour planning and general supervisor duties e.g. Safety walks, training sessions, incident reports, and counselling’s. Successfully completing operational projects including, redesigning a stock location layout, creating a floor grid template to improve safety and production flow, implementing a national rollout of SAP to improve all operating procedures, distributing despatch regions through visual aids, and creating a training matrix’s for other supervisors. Performance management & development for associates.
