The Ames Child Care Center (ACCC) Board of Directors (BOD) is charged with the management and control of the ACCC, including setting policy, overseeing administration, and monitoring finances. We also plan all the parties. Parties are fun.

The President is the chief executive officer (CEO) of Ames Child Care Center (ACCC) and, subject to the control of the Board of Directors (BOD), supervises and controls all of the business and affairs of the ACCC. The president presides at all meetings of the parents and of the BOD for which they are present. They may sign for the ACCC any deeds, mortgages, bonds, contracts, or other instruments that the Board has authorized to be executed. They shall, unless otherwise provided by the BOD, be a member of all the “standing” committees, including the Executive Committee, if any. In addition, they shall have such other powers and duties as may be assigned to them by the Board. (Note: I did this job during the worst parts of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Our daycare was one of very few that did not shut down and had no deaths.)

WetLab2 RNA SmartCycler Project-This is a COTS payload bound for the International Space Station. -Co-lead of the Engineering Test Team.-Responsibilities include hardware test procedure development, test execution, and analysis of testing results.LADEE Mission Operations-Electrical Power Systems mission operations support for the LADEE satellite. -Responsibilities include development and maintenance of tools and procedures related to the engineering support of the LADEE mission.

Power Resource Officer - General duties included planning power usage and solar array planning for the International Space Station, as well as addressing any failures associated with the power system.Some of the main projects I have worked on at United Space Alliance are:Lead for the Increment 29, 30, and 32 Power Analysis Team for the ISS. Primary duties consist of developing solar array plans and power downs for weekly ISS dynamic events in consideration of longeron shadowing, solar array constraints,and on-orbit activities. Additionally assisted in preparing the ISS for an unmanned configuration, coordinated power limitations and regulations related to several major failures in the Electrical Power System.Lead power analyst for the simulation and training support working group for the ISS.Lead for the STS-134/ULF6 Flight Power Analysis Team for the ISS which delivered on-time power products with 100% accuracy. This mission was exceptionally complex and was two full years in development. Four EVAs were performed, including the coolant fill of the one of the ISS core power channels. In addition, this mission also involved dual docked array operations, due to the undocking of TMA-28S while Endeavour was docked to Station.Primary point of contact to the Japanese Space Agency for power planning and coordination, as well as lead for the HTV-2 and HTV-3 Power Analysis Team for the ISS which delivered on-time power products also with 100% accuracy.First responder to the failure of the Loop A pump. This issue resulted in the flight control team powering down half of the ISS, and took three weeks and three EVAs to remove and replace the failed unit.

I co-op'd with Boeing Commercial Aircraft - Research and Design group in Seattle for two consecutive summers. The first summer I designed an inspection system to detect flaws in carbon fiber composites wings used in the 787 Dreamliner design. The second summer, I developed a preliminary design for a machine that would inspect the seats on the airplanes and verify that they met industry standards for safety.

I was on the structures team, working on the tail boom.
