Leading internal and external communications across the eastern Iowa region of MercyOne to connect local needs with system strategies, while advancing MercyOne's Mission of transforming the health of our communities.

Coordinate marketing initiatives and campaigns for several major service lines, including cardiac, surgery, the emergency department, and rehabilitation. Write all hospital publications, including Health Watch magazine, the Mercy employee newsletter, annual reports for the Dubuque and Dyersville hospitals, and news releases. Write website copy. Manage media relations. Support other marketing activities, projects, and special events.

Writer and editor of www.mayo.edu, Mayo Clinic’s research website. Worked closely with physicians, scientists, administrators, and members of Mayo Clinic Internet Services to analyze, design, and produce content for the website.

Assisted world-renowned scientists in the Transplantation Biology Program at Mayo Clinic with editing and submitting manuscripts. Managed a high number of projects with deadlines, communicated with collaborators from other institutions and editors from scientific journals and publishing houses, copyedited manuscripts, prepared manuscripts and figures to publisher’s detailed specification and style, checked proofs to ensure quality and accuracy.
