As Senior Vice President of Clinical Services, my goal is to ensure that BeneCard PBF delivers the highest quality, clinically guided prescription benefits management possible. I am a frequent speaker at events and conferences, and work hard to further BeneCard’s development of innovative, proactive clinical solutions to today’s drug cost challenges. My clinical philosophy, which resonates strongly with BeneCard clients, is to provide safe, effective, and affordable therapy options to patients. I believe that coordinating with the patient and all of their prescribers allows for true clinical benefits that focus on the member and their needs first. I have a strong interest in and experience with appropriate drug therapy, pharmacogenetics, and functional medicine. In this day and age, appropriate medication oversight is required to prevent adverse events, side effects, and deaths from misuse of medications.As a registered pharmacist and graduate of the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, I believe firmly in the need for better clinical care in the PBM sphere. I am responsible for clinical oversight across BeneCard PBF, including clinical adjudication rules, trend management, and our innovative clinical programs. My clinical team and I strive to achieve the best possible health outcomes at the lowest net cost for BeneCard PBF clients and their members. Ensuring that members utilize medications appropriately and safely is the primary initiative of the BeneCard Clinical Department.My experience extends beyond the PBM industry to multiple areas of pharmacy, including managed care, retail, and hospital, and within the pharmaceutical manufacturer space as an Asthma Educator. I also have extensive experience with claim benefit mapping, and adjudication roll development. I worked with several adjudication platforms before helping to build the state of the art, clinically focused BeneCard platform.
