Highly collaborative, team-oriented production manager with extensive graphic design and production skills; subject matter expert in print and mail production. Directed scheduling, purchasing, and overseeing design, print, list rental, and mail fulfillment for ASQ (American Society for Quality). Served as a managerial lead responsible for staff performance reviews, hiring and firing, budget and direction recommendations working closely with the Managing Director until roles changed due to restructuring in 2017.Leadership and Administration:• Prior to reorganization in 2017, held supervisory responsibility for creative team, comprised of copy editor, graphic designer and outside suppliers. Directed hiring, interviewing, and training employees; planning, assigning and delegating work; appraising performance; acknowledging and disciplining; and addressing and resolving complaints. Hired and managed temp designers, freelance designers, and copy editors. Attended annual budgeting and strategy meetings for department. This program helped ensure projects were completed on time and within budget while maintaining good supplier relationships.• Participated in process to research, screen, and evaluate current suppliers for viability for product fit, history and performance. Vetted potential suppliers ensuing they met internal company standards. Reviewed and recommended efficient and cost-effective production practices to internal business units.
