Public librarian for over 20 years. An active member in my community, I serve as a member of the Optimist Club and am active in the Iowa Library Association and Association for Rural and Small Libraries. In person and online presentations for external organizations including WebJunction, PCI Webinars, Regional Library Systems (TN, NE, KS), Professional Development: Iowa City Area Business Partnership (formerly (IC Area Chamber of Commerce) Community Leadership Program, ILA Leadership Institute, Mentor ILEAD USA, Optimist ClubProfessional Activities: I have been an active member of the Association for Rural and Small Libraries (ARSL) for 12 years and served as 2023 President. Have served on multiple committees and subdivisions of the Iowa Library Association (ILA) including serving as chair of Intellectual Freedom, Leadership Development and the Iowa Small Library Association, and two terms (2008-2012 and 2022-2024) on the ILA Executive Board.
