Ms. Grippa concentrated her practice in the area of complex commercial litigation, providing risk management strategies and legal advice to businesses across a variety of sectors. She has both prosecuted and defended business litigation cases involving contentions ranging from breach of contract to fraud, deceptive trade practices, civil RICO, fraudulent conveyances, breach of fiduciary duty, professional malpractice, and other business torts. She has extensive experience helping clients resolve a vast range of business disputes as lead counsel in numerous trials, appeals, arbitrations, and mediations. She is also a registered mediator. In connection with financial services litigation, she conducted corporate and governmental investigations and represented the FDIC as receiver of a number of failed financial institutions in connection with multi-million dollar commercial disputes as well as professional liability investigations, director and officer litigation, and fidelity bond litigation. She also represented commercial lenders in a variety of business lawsuits. Ms. Grippa represented business owners and developers of office, retail, and industrial properties in a wide range of commercial real estate and environmental matters, from negotiating resolutions of disputes to litigating cases involving breaches of contract, property damage, and environmental pollution claims. She led the firm’s Sustainability and Environmental practice groups and is a LEED AP BD+C. Ms. Grippa also led Miller & Martin’s Construction Practice Group, where she counseled clients in areas ranging from contract negotiations to disputes involving payment, performance, delays, liens, and surety claims. Ms. Grippa has litigated construction and design defect cases and has been recognized as a Georgia Super Lawyer Rising Star in construction for the last 6 consecutive years. She has also been recognized in Atlanta magazine for being one of “The Top Women Attorneys in Georgia.”
